Sr Analyst, Functional
Job Responsibilities:
Participates as part of the project management team for the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) MILCON projects office in the Facilities, MILCON &Environmental Management Directorate (DXF). Analyzes user needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of projects. Establishes and defines program plan requirements and performs in-depth studies to determine optimum project plans. The FA will be responsible for participating in construction documentation and systems furniture drawing reviews as well as construction project and furniture punch-list walk through. The FA will serve as Project Manager for MDA systems furniture installations as well as the main point of contact for systems and modular furniture vendors. The FA monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met. The FA interacts regularly with customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements. The FA will conduct site survey and verify field dimensions for various MDA in-house renovations as well as maintaining MDA architectural background and personnel location floor plans in AUTOCAD. The FA will provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced employees. As a FA he/she will also perform various minor/moderate drafting projects in AUTOCAD.
Required Education:
Typically requires 5-8 years of directly related experience in MILCON, Facilities engineering, facilities management or construction project functional areas.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience. Engineering, facility management or Interior Design degree is a plus.
Required Work Experience:
Knowledge of systems furniture, AutoCAD drawing software programs, reading and understanding of construction drawings.
Requires excellent communications skills in both written and verbal forms. Project Management experience in commercial and office design and systems furniture installation required. Ability to back-up theMDA Project Manager when needed. Significant space planning and AutoCAD background is a definite plus.
Other Desirable Requirements:
This position requires an active secret security clearance. If the candidate does not have one, the candidate must apply for and be granted an interim secret security clearance before being able to set a start date.
